Where is the Illinois River Road?
Traversing both east and west sides of the Illinois River from Ottawa, 150 miles south to Havana, the Illinois River Road has spurs to the communities of Princeton and Canton. The Illinois River Road corridor has over 100 natural and historic sites and numerous unique communities located throughout its 10-county region.

The Scenic Byway is conveniently located between Chicago and St. Louis, but just far enough to get away from it all. So get off the beaten path and see what the Illinois River Road has in store for you!

Wheels O' Time Museum
N. Knoxville Avenue and W. Woodside Drive, Peoria, IL 61615

We are here to entertain and educate. Our mission is to provide a facility where folks of all ages can see and hear and sometimes touch items representing transportation, industry, farm and home life, as well as entertainment from the past.

Wheels O’ Time Museum celebrates 31 years in 2014. With 30,000 sq ft of exhibit space, we have a multitude of exhibits, many interpretative, showing life 50 to 100 years ago in the Peoria area.

Our fourth building has a display by the Early Ford V-8 Club that changes monthly though out the season. The May exhibit includes a 1930 Model A Ford that was in the Washington tornado. There are pictures of the car amongst the rubble after the owners home was destroyed by the tornado.

Open May-October, Wednesday - Sunday, noon to 5pm, and summer holidays.
