Traversing both east and west sides of the Illinois River from Ottawa, 150 miles south to Havana, the Illinois River Road has spurs to the communities of Princeton and Canton. The Illinois River Road corridor has over 100 natural and historic sites and numerous unique communities located throughout its 10-county region.

The Scenic Byway is conveniently located between Chicago and St. Louis, but just far enough to get away from it all. So get off the beaten path and see what the Illinois River Road has in store for you!

Hidden Paradise Alpacas

Our hidden paradise, nestled in a peaceful, quiet timber area, includes alpacas, llamas, miniature horses and donkeys, goats, sheep; and a variety of chickens, ducks and guinea hens. All of our animals are hands-on and love guests dropping in for a visit. We also have an on-site country gift shop stocked with our very popular Extreme Alpaca Socks, scarfs, hats, gloves and alpaca yarn. There is also a variety of other unusual merchandise available. Business hours, Tue.and Thur. 10-2, Sat.10-3 or by appointment.
