Traversing both east and west sides of the Illinois River from Ottawa, 150 miles south to Havana, the Illinois River Road has spurs to the communities of Princeton and Canton. The Illinois River Road corridor has over 100 natural and historic sites and numerous unique communities located throughout its 10-county region.

It's a great place for visitors desiring an up-close view of the Illinois River, those who wish to view river nature in an urbanized setting, and individuals who simply wish to enjoy the scenery. Events planned for RiverFront Park include art shows, concerts, and community or regional activities. Exciting future plans for RiverFront Park include the construction of an interactive, educational model of the Illinois River, a group picnic shelter, restrooms and a playground.
