Traversing both east and west sides of the Illinois River from Ottawa, 150 miles south to Havana, the Illinois River Road has spurs to the communities of Princeton and Canton. The Illinois River Road corridor has over 100 natural and historic sites and numerous unique communities located throughout its 10-county region.

The Scenic Byway is conveniently located between Chicago and St. Louis, but just far enough to get away from it all. So get off the beaten path and see what the Illinois River Road has in store for you!

Open to the public Havana City Wide Events and Activities in celebration of the American Duchess Cruise Ship

Havana River Front, Riverside Club, Downtown Havana and Havana City Center, Havana, IL
Please join the City of Havana and its partners for two days of celebration in honor of the American Duchess Cruise Ship docking on Havana’s scenic river front. Join us at 8AM at the Riverfront Park to welcome the American Duchess Cruise, its captain and passengers. Afterward, start your visit by listening to live music while viewing artwork and Havana related merchandise for sale at the Havana Riverside Club and visitor center, explore Historic Havana for food, drink and merchandise specials, and learn about the natural and cultural resources of the area at a Natural Resources Fair at the Havana City Center including displays, videos and guided hikes provided by the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service at 8:30 AM and again at 2:00 PM.
